How it works.

Program lighting and shades on the secondary processor using the familiar Crestron Home setup app. Create your rooms, add lights and shades, create scenes, and program the keypads. Next, navigate to the primary processor and discover the secondary processor in “Pair Devices and Manage Gateways and Processors.” Tap the plus sign to add. You’ll be prompted for the UI password from the other processor. If set up properly, all the devices, scenes, and keypad programming will be added automatically. Now, when the homeowner connects to the Crestron Home app, they’ll see devices from just one processor.

Where it can be applied.

Multiprocessor support can be applied to jobs both big and small, plus jobs that were previously too large for a single processor. If you’d like to isolate lighting and shades on one processor and the rest of the devices on another, you can now do this. In this case, if the primary processor is no longer functioning for some reason, the secondary processor with lights and shades will still work and your customer won’t lose control of these essential services – an especially valuable “peace of mind” benefit in multi-dwelling unit deployments.
