1,1   Welcome to the Crestron Online Community Forum and beta sites!  We're glad you're here to engage in discussions, share knowledge, and learn from fellow technology enthusiasts. Our Crestron Community Forum and beta sites (collectively the “Forum”) aims to foster a supportive and informative community. Your participation helps make this Forum a valuable resource for all users. We've established these Crestron Community Forum Rules (the “Rules”) to promote a productive and interactive community.

2.   Acceptance

2,1   By using and participating in this Forum, you agree to abide by these Rules. All Forum users must be registered on our www.crestron.com Website, subject to the Website Terms of Use, posted at www.crestron.com/legal/website-terms-of-use, and  incorporated by reference into these Rules. If you do not wish to be bound by these Rules, then you should not access or use the Forum.

2,2   By submitting any information to Crestron Electronics, Inc. (“Crestron”) through this Forum, you consent to the use of that information as set forth in Crestron’s Privacy Policy, posted at www.crestron.com/legal/privacy-policy.

2,3   These Rules are not exhaustive, and Crestron may update or modify them at any time by posting updated Rules on the Forum, or by otherwise communicating them to you. Your continued use and participation of the Forum following the posting of any updated Rules constitutes your acceptance of such updated Rules.

3.   Use of the Forum

3,1 This Forum is not available to the general public and is restricted to certain users registered on Crestron’s website, including Crestron’s authorized dealers, CSPs and end-customer partners. Its use is subject to the Website Terms of Use provisions regarding restricted access. The Forum may not be used for the exchange of confidential information regarding users’ specific business or contractual dealings with Crestron, including without limitation pricing, discounts, roadmap, or other confidential non-public information about Crestron products and services.

3,2   By posting information, data, text, images, photographs, videos, files, links, software, chat, responses, communication, or other materials (“Content”) on this Forum you represent and warrant that you have the full right and authority to share the Content on this Forum. You are responsible for the Content you post on this Forum.

3,3   Please note that the Forum contains user submitted Content. The views and opinions expressed in the user Content are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the official policy, position, view, or opinion of Crestron or of any of its employees. Crestron is not responsible for, and does not verify the accuracy of, any of the Content contained in this Forum.  Users may not repost, publish or otherwise disseminate Content posted by other users without their permission.

3,4   Crestron will moderate this Forum and may respond to questions; however, the Forum is not intended to be a substitute for Crestron technical support and specific requests should not be submitted using the Forum.  Posts or messages submitted through this Forum do not constitute notice to Crestron for any purpose. 3,5   Feedback:  By posting or otherwise providing any ideas, thoughts, criticisms, suggested improvements, or other feedback related to any past, present, or future Crestron software, systems, products or services (“Feedback”) through this Forum, you grant Crestron a worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free, fully paid, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, publish, translate, distribute, perform, display, import, sell, license, offer for sale, make, have made, and otherwise exploit the Feedback in any form, media, technology, Crestron products or services whether now known or hereafter developed, and to allow others to do the same, without restriction, obligation, or compensation of any kind.

3,6   Your use and participation in the Forum are at the sole discretion of Crestron. Crestron reserves the right to moderate Content to maintain a respectful environment and take any necessary actions to modify, limit, block, or permanently terminate your access to the Forum at any time for any reason, including without limitation for violation of these Rules.

4.   Requirements and Restriction on Forum Use

4,1   All users are required to use and participate in the Forum in accordance with the following:

Crestron will not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, or sexual orientation. Do not post any Content that is or may be considered unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, offensive, disparaging, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful or otherwise objectionable.

   (b)   Quality, Relevance, and Accuracy: Contribute meaningful and informative Content. Posts should add value to discussions and promote constructive learning. Do not provide any Content that is fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or knowingly inaccurate, untrue, or incomplete.

   (c)   Profile Picture: We provide you with the opportunity to add a photograph of yourself to your profile to help others recognize you. Your profile picture should not include logos, avatars, emojis, cartoons, animals, words or phrases, stock images or photos, childhood or baby photos, or other images that do not portray your likeness. Your profile photo may be removed by Crestron if it is not consistent with these Rules. You may remove your photo from your profile at any time.
